WATCH: Truck driver loses control and flees on N12 east after Kliprivier off-ramp

Th truck driver fled the scene and was nowhere to be found after the accident.

A truck driver lost control of his truck on the N12 east past the Kliprivier off-ramp yesterday, May 23 at around 4pm and fled the scene.

The truck was carrying coal and all emergency services were on scene. The truck was travelling towards Comaro when it swerved up the hill onto oncoming traffic and back down before crashing into the barriers of the bridge.

At around 9pm some emergency services were still on scene and the scene was being cleared. Two lanes were affected.
