A 17-year-old raped in Forest Hill

She also confirmed that the girl does not live in the area.

AN armed man in Forest Hill took a 17-year-old girl to a park and raped her; she was on her way to school at about 6.15am on May 23.

The man approached her with his hand in his pocket, pulled out a firearm and threatened her, taking her to the park where he raped her.

Booysens Police, Captain Lorraine van Emmerik confirmed that a case of rape has been opened at the station.

“Family, Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit came to the station and took the docket. The incident didn’t happen in Rifle Range Road, but in the street heading towards the school. The girl went into the school, staff contacted us, and we went to collect her to open a case. Her parents were with her at the time the case was opened. She is traumatised and she has been taken to hospital to do relevant tests that are needed,” explained Capt. Van Emmerik.

She also confirmed that the girl does not live in the area.
