THE Promenade building in Voortrekker Road (New Redruth) opposite Alberton City was on fire on May 17.

According to ER24 four people were left injured. Upon assessment, paramedics found that four people had suffered mild smoke inhalation. It is still unclear how the fire began, but the matter is under investigation.
EMPD, SAPS, CPS Security, National Paramedics, ER24 and other legal authorities were on scene.
