In the week of May 3 to 10, Moffat View SAPS arrested 32 suspects for the following crimes: assault common – two, assault GBH – four, business break-in – two, common robbery – three, drunken driving – one, dealing in drugs – eight, shoplifting – seven and theft – four.
Arrested for drunken driving
On May 14, JMPD members and Moffat View SAPS held a roadblock at the corner of Turf Road and 6th Street, La-Rochelle from 4pm to 10pm and 11 arrests were made.
Moffat View operations
On May 12, Moffat View SAPS management held a building inspection operation in Rosettenville and La-Rochelle, visiting the burned houses.
Two suspects who are linked to a Bedfordview case, a warrant of arrest and a Sandton case of shoplifting were arrested through the use of Morpho touch system.
