Embrace your challenges!

What would your life be right now if you made a decision a year ago that you will never allow fear to stop you? “Fear is your best friend or your worst enemy. It’s like fire. If you can control it, it can cook for you; it can heat your house. If you can’t control it, it can burn everything around you and destroy you.” – “Iron” Mike Tyson.

See the challenge as a door that leads you to newness. When I look at my life right now, I realise that losing my parents at a young age introduced me to serious challenges in life. There were times where I had to live from meal to meal, but that was preparing me for bigger things in life. I am where I am today because I handled those tough situations and I learned so much from them. Running away or looking for an easy way out from your challenges keeps you weak. That’s why most people are forever crying and complaining about everything, even the slightest thing that makes them uncomfortable – because they are weak.

Most people are even praying and asking God every day for more strength. He answers by introducing challenges in their lives to deal with, as this is the only way to toughen them up. It falls under ‘tough love’. They then complain and say, “Why me, Lord? Why give me so many challenges?” Because that’s the only way to grow up.

My major fear as Veli Ndaba is to take my gifts and talents to the grave with me – this is a sin. This fear is what drives me every day to inspire people and make them realise they are more than they can ever begin to imagine.
