Two arrested for business robbery

The Mondeor SAPS is looking for the other four suspects involved in these robberies and the police are appealing to anyone who might have information to come forward.

TWO suspects were arrested by the Mondeor Police on March 28 at about 04:20 at the Jacksons Informal Settlement and are now being linked to several business robberies in that area

Police were following information that led to the arrest of the two African males, aged 25 and 28. The suspects are now being linked to several business robberies in that area where they allegedly robbed many spaza shops and pointed a firearm at the owners before leaving with groceries, cigarettes and cash.

According to the Mondeor SAPS communications officer, Captain Nokulunga Dube, on one occasion the suspects assaulted one of the shop owners with his brother and fired shots.

The Mondeor SAPS is looking for the other four suspects involved in these robberies and the police are appealing to anyone who might have information that can help towards apprehending the remaining suspects to please contact crime stop on 08600 10111 or call Mondeor SAPS at 011 433 5410.
