Pimp of Rosettenville teen sentenced 20 years

Eke Ogochukwu is set to spend 20 years in prison for four charges relating to human trafficking.

THIRTY-YEAR-OLD Eke Ogochukwu was sentenced to 20 years in prison for charges relating to human trafficking at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, March 13 after he was found guilty of being the pimp of a teenage girl in Rosettenville in 2015.

EyeWitnessNews reported that Ogochukwu sexually abused the teenage girl and made her perform sexual favours for other men – and that he kept the money she made, giving her only R50 a day for food and R100 for every man she was forced to sleep with.

Nigerian national Ogochukwu is said to have taken advantage of the young girl after she ran away from her home in Vereeniging.

The teenager only found her freedom when she escaped to a nearby church and received assistance there.

Moffat View SAPS is due to comment.

The victim, who is now 17 years old, told the media that her life would never be the same again after what Ogochukwu did to her.
