WITH the recent rains, the CPF patrollers in Sector 3, Kibler Park, took it upon themselves to cut the grass along the main arterial roads in the area.

Ward 125 Clr Peter Stewart cannot thank them enough. “A very big thank you to all the patrollers of Sector 3 for getting their hands dirty and taking pride in their suburb by ensuring a very necessary service was carried out without pleading for help. We assure them that it definitely did not go unnoticed and are sure that most of the community members appreciate their effort and for setting such a shining example,” noted Clr Stewart.

He said these are all people who volunteer to keep the community safe at night and are always the first ones on a crime scene. They assist the SAPS and support their community unselfishly, he added. Cutting the grass not only keeps the streets looking neat, but also provides fewer places for criminals to hide, he said.

“We are so proud of you patrollers. It is always a pleasure to meet you guys around the streets and I hope, trust and plead that our community in Kibler Park, Rispark, Patlyn, Mayfield Park, Alveda, Eagles Nest, South Fork, Eikenhof and Olifantsvlei will support you in full by attending the monthly meetings at Klipriversberg Recreation Centre every third Wednesday of the month, which in my view is really a small gesture of appreciation for the remarkable work you do,” he said.
