Stop playing the victim!

They always blame everything and everyone on earth for their shortcomings and poor results.

“The winner believes that he creates his own destiny while the loser believes that life happens to him.” – Veli Ndaba

When you have a victim mentality you become blind to the blessings in your life. Let today be the day that you break free from this poisonous victim mentality that is stealing your gifts and talents. Victims have the moral high ground, meaning that they are right and innocent all the time…someone else is causing the misery in their lives. Victims can easily justify why they are right and not achieving greatness. Victims allow themselves to be stuck in the status quo and they excel at seeing the faults in others, ignoring their own responsibility.

One of the most painful things in life is staying stuck in a situation where you clearly know you don’t belong, hence you end up whining all the time. Challenges will always be part of our lives -they help us grow and become stronger and wiser; they are not there to kill us and that’s the way it is. Those people that you admire as strong and courageous are just like you, but the difference is that they take full responsibility for their lives and are willing to pay the price for what they want.

How do you spot a person with victim mentality?

1. They always complain about everything and everyone. It’s never about them.

2. They always blame everything and everyone on earth for their shortcomings and poor results.

3. They are always justifying why they don’t have what they should have.

4. They are always criticising and finding fault with everything.

My friend, you are so special; you are unique. You have gifts and talents far beyond your imagination and you deserve the best that life has to offer – let the rest of your life be the best of your life!
