KNR needs help

We are appealing to you for donations to help us. If every Association member donated R60 it would cover the full R40 000. We realise that in today’s economic climate not everyone can afford to hand out their hard-earned money every time an appeal is made.

As you may be aware, the trails within the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve are eroded, uneven and in need of upgrading.

While we have embarked on the upgrade of the Sunbird (Red) Trail, there are other areas in dire need of urgent attention.

This is for the comfort and safety of you, the visitor, as well as to minimise the impact of human movement through the reserve. This would also aid the reserve in gaining Green Flag status, which we hope to regain on completion of the rehabilitation of all the trails.

Unfortunately the related costs are high. The initial R40 000 is needed just for the urgent upgrades in the very dangerous and difficult areas, and the KNRA is currently not in a financial position to carry the costs.

We are appealing to you for donations. If every association member donated R60, it would cover the full R40 000.

We realise that in today’s economic climate not everyone can afford to hand out their hard-earned money every time an appeal is made. We would, however, ask you to consider helping with whatever amount you can, so that we can restore the trails befitting “The Jewel of the South”.
