Police say be vigilant

Be careful when approaching an intersection, stop signs and traffic lights.

BOOYSENS SAPS warns residents to be aware of their surroundings at all times.

“When approaching an intersection, especially stop streets or traffic lights, be aware of what is around you.

“When you approach your driveway and you notice somebody you do not know standing at your gate or driving around the block, contact your security company for assistance.

“The small things that you notice are the small things which can prevent a crime. You, as the community, can help fight crime in your area,” communications officer Capt Lorraine van Emmerik said.
