Primestars continues to focus on youth development

Primestars are improving the lives of 90 000 young South African black youth one educational cinema at a time.

PRIMEDIA Primestars is a social enterprise that focuses on youth development through giving educational mentorship to high school learners in Grades Eight to 12.

Primestars has previously been called “the Uber of education” by the Sunday Times because, although they don’t own any schools, they are currently the biggest virtual place of learning in the country, improving the lives of 90 000 young South African black youth one educational cinema at a time.

The programmes are in maths and science for matriculants and financial literacy, entrepreneurship skills, career guidance for other grades. They also screen these programmes nationally in the Ster Kinekor theatres of learning.
