DA holds branch AGM

Ward councillor Michael Crichton congratulated all the newly elected office-bearers. “This team will play a critical role in getting the DA’s objective of freedom, fairness and opportunity to the communities of ward 56,” he said.

ON SATURDAY, January 28, the DA Boroang branch in Ward 56 held its annual general meeting to elect new office-bearers and to discuss the way forward.

The AGM was well attended and there was a sense of excitement among those present. The following members were elected into positions: Anand Rangasamy (chairman), Carlos Moreira (deputy chair), Celina de Mota (secretary), Stuart Marais (membership), Andiswa Qalela (DA Women’s Network) and Keelen Pillay (DA Youth).

Newly elected branch chairman Anand Rangasamy said, “I look forward to working with this team and reaching our common goals.” Rangasamy added that the focus will now be on the 2019 elections.

Clr Crichton added that he is confident the team will make the community proud.

The branch would also like to thank Dennis Jane and Carlos Moreira for all the hard work that they have put in over the years.
