Nursery’s success to be aired on TV

They will be aired on Dumisa, 1 Gospel and Soweto TV during December.

URBAN Brew Studios captured the success of Adored Lillies Edu-Care in Kennedy Street, Kenilworth on camera, on Thursday, December 1.

They had been commissioned by the National Lottery Commission to create four three-minute videos about Early Childhood Development Centres that they fund. They will be aired on Dumisa, 1 Gospel and Soweto TV during December.

Sally Clark from Urban Brew Studios said in each video clip they feature the importance of ECD in a child’s development; and they endeavour to tell a slightly different story. “I thought it would be great to include this. Many centres complain that it’s hard to get funding from the lottery; this is an opportunity to give exposure to a useful model to access funds,” she said.

Thandi Okeke-Onwubiogu, the principal of Adored Lillies Edu-Care, said the centre was founded in October 2010; however the it started operating in January 2011. It’s a fully registered ECD centre and it’s registered with the Department of Education (Grade R) (700700821), Social Development (PB1000602173) and Department of Health (12/2010).
