Kenilworth Secondary School is optimistic Grade 12 results

As a reward for their hard work, Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi would ensure that the school would be supplied with end to end ICT smart boards.

THE recent visit by Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi at Kenilworth Secondary School was prompted by the 100 per cent 2015 grade 12 pass rate.

He had to see the school for himself, what makes this school so different from any other. It is a small, under-resourced school that caters for a number of underprivileged learners from in and around the South, but managed, against all odds, to achieve what they did last year.

MEC Lesufi visited each classroom and engaged with the learners with some motivational words. While in one of the matric classes with an educator that was engaged in a lesson, he involved himself with the lesson and noticed the difficulties the school was having with illustrations drawn on the chalk board. As a result, he pledged in the classroom as a reward for their hard work, he would ensure that the school would be supplied with end-to-end ICT smart boards.
