Development upsets residents

“A previous development of townhouses which went up a number of years ago was bad enough but this new development looks like it is actually going further into the nature reserve,” said a Mondeor resident.

A DEVELOPMENT which looks to be encroaching into the side of the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve, is making residents angry and upset.

“A previous development of townhouses which went up a number of years ago was bad enough, but this new development looks like it’s actually going further into the nature reserve,” said a Mondeor resident.

“It looks shocking and huge amounts of earth have been gouged out. Is this allowed?”

The COURIER contacted local Ward 54 councillor, Sergio Dos Santos, asking if the builders have building rights to encroach into the nature reserve – and we’re awaiting comment.
