Drugs and money recovered in Forest Hill

A suspect was arrested and will be charged with possession of drugs.

DRUGS, smoking pipes and a large amount of money were found during a crime prevention operation held in the Booysens policing area on Wednesday, September 21.

Members involved included JMPD officers, environmental health officials, councillors of the area, NGOs and volunteers.

At about 11:00 the operation moved to a premises in Forest Hill. Captain Lorraine van Emmerik, communication officer from Booysens SAPS, said the members of the JMPD K9 Unit searched the premises in Forest Hill. “They found drugs including mandrax tablets, Cat and a number of smoking pipes. There was also a large amount of money found. A suspect was arrested and will be charged with possession of drugs,” she said.
