CARNIVAL City lined up an ensemble of top comedians at its new venue, Bru’s, on September 2.
The comedy evening features Martin Jonas, Hannes Brummer, Robby Collins and magician Colin Underwood in the mix.
The show kicked off at 20:00.
Jonas is a sought after South African comedian who has headlined and featured in an array of successful local and international comedy festivals, including the Heavyweight Comedy Jam, while Brummer’s comedic style is highly energetic and physical, at times self-deprecating, but ultimately optimistic. His tongue is always firmly in cheek as he observes the world in which we live.
A comedian whose material draws on real life, Collins is at ease on the stage and has a very believable stage presence, endearing himself to audiences with his gawky giraffe frame. He has performed to large audiences, with appearances at The Heavy Weight Comedy Jam and Blacks Only.
Underwood, a well-known magician, brings a humorously magical twist to the show. This unique, multi-talented entertainer has had a diverse and rich career, spanning nearly 35 years.
