Suspicious men nabbed with stolen vehicle

An officers fired warning shots at the suspects' vehicle when they refused to pull over.

BOOYSENS: SAPS nabbed two suspects for possession of a stolen vehicle after firing warning as the suspects refused to stop on Tuesday, August 23.

Officers from the station’s detective unit noticed suspicious behaviour on Heronmere Street in Booysens Reserve and attempted to halt the suspects but they refused to stop, prompting the warning shots.

Another vehicle with two other suspects managed to flee the scene, leaving the other two to be caught in possession of a VW Polo and a Toyota Hilux which was reported stolen in Jeppe in the Johannesburg CBD.

No injuries were reported and a case of stolen vehicles was opened.
