Shoot-outs in Glenvista and Lynmeyer

Moffat View CPF patrollers pursued the vehicle along Comaro Drive.

ON August 17, three robbers in a white Audi held up a Caltex Garage in Linmeyer at gunpoint.

The robbery was interrupted by Moffat View CPF patrollers, who pursued the suspects along Comaro Drive.

Near Comaro View Shopping Centre, the three suspects opened fire on the patrollers, before abandoning their vehicle near Boundary Road and fleeing on foot towards the N12.

The CPF and SAPS are still searching for the armed suspects.

There was also a shoot-out on Edward Drive, Glenvista, when four or five males tried to break into a house.

This road is monitored by D&D CCTV and, when the camera operator saw what was happening, reaction officers were dispatched to the scene.

Shots were fired and the suspects fled the area.

The CHRONICLE attempted to contact the Moffat View police for comment but none has been received.
