Wellness academy launched

The wellness academy was born out of the need for a sustainable, step change intervention in the lives of those living with threatening health conditions.

THE Inspire Wellness Academy was officially launched to cater for people living with life-threatening health conditions on Saturday, August 6.

The wellness academy, located at the corner of Peggy Vera and Sunningdale roads in Kibler Park, seeks to help people improve their health, well-being and the quality of life of all its members through a practical fitness programme aimed at enhancing their lives with positive attitudes and behaviours culminating in a lifelong commitment to wellness.

The health conditions the wellness academy speak about are conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, bad cholesterol, high blood pressure, excessive smoking and other numerous chronic diseases. Services offered include corporate wellness, on-site clinics, individual fitness activities (volleyball, basketball and netball), on-site exercise via a mobile outdoor gym, dietician assessments, loyalty benefits, running, and swimming.

The academy targets individuals seeking a sustainable and integrated health and lifestyle change including people struggling with obesity and low self-esteem, corporate clients and public sector employees, including metro police and SAPS.
