Man injured during shooting

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 15:30 and found three men lying on the pavement surrounded by a number of local authorities.

A MAN, believed to be in his 30s, was left seriously injured after a shooting incident at the corner of Bellavista and Rifle Range roads, on Tuesday afternoon, August 2.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 15:30 and found three men lying on the pavement surrounded by a number of local authorities.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said: “On assessment, paramedics found that one man had sustained a gunshot wound to his neck, leaving him in a serious condition. The two other men fortunately did not sustain any injuries. Paramedics treated the patient and provided him with numerous advanced life support interventions. Once treated he was transported to Baragwanath Hospital for urgent treatment.”

An enquiry about the incident has been sent to Booysens SAPS and the COURIER is awaiting their comment.
