Calling on all school and companies to join the CEO SleepOut

Community support and participation encourages empathy and there are just two weeks to go to the CEO SleepOut

WITH just two weeks to go to the CEO SleepOut, the challenge is now put to schools and companies to participate in support of this initiative.

There is still time to participate in the CEO SleepOut on Nelson Mandela Bridge on July 28. All schools are being challenged once again to take part in this year’s SchoolSleepOut in an effort to gain empathy for vulnerable communities or schools and see it as an opportunity to be part of the biggest philanthropic event in the country.

Community support is very important in teaching and guiding the youth to address critical issues surrounding them. When companies invest in their communities through corporate social investment (CSI), they stand a chance to gain support and profit maximisation.

One of the goals for the Sun International CEO SleepOut, is to drive companies and CEOs as decision makers to structure their social investment programmes into impactful activities which can improve the standard of living in communities.

As part of a global movement of positive social change, the event will see CEOs in South Africa spending the night on the Mandela Bridge as a way to raise empathy for the homeless and funds for education. Communities are encouraged to challenge surrounding companies or CEOs to take part in this initiative, as part of a broad way to eliminate unemployment and homelessness.
