Security guard injured in ATM bombing

A security officer has been shot and wounded following an ATM bombing this morning.

The incident occurred at around 02:40, at Cornwall Hill Shopping Centre, in Elardrus Park, in Pretoria.

Netcare911 say the guard was stabilised on scene by paramedics and transported to a nearby hospital, under the constant care of an Advanced Life Support Paramedic.

Reports from the scene suggest that the armed robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of money. No other people were injured during the incident and the police are investigating the matter.
