SOS ProtecSure hand over vehicle to CPF

This donation makes it possible for our volunteers to ensure they have the necessary equipment while on patrol

RECENTLY SOS ProtecSure handed over a vehicle to Sector 1 Crime Forum, Mondeor Station Community Police Forum.

The vehicle will be primarily used by volunteer patrollers in Glenvista, Glenanda, Bassonia, Mulbarton and Liefde en Vrede, in neighbourhood watch activities and visible policing projects. The Sector 1 Victim Support Unit trauma counsellors will also make use of the vehicle to call on victims of crime and offer counselling.

The vehicle’s equipment has been sponsored by local businesses as well as CPFs. It comes fully equipped with a comprehensive first aid kit (sponsored by ER24), Dashcam (MSF Attorneys), Tom Tom Navigation device (Robyn Burgess), traffic control equipment (Mulbarton Community Forum), evidence kits (Mulbarton/Glenvista Community Forums), trauma kit for victim support (Glenvista Community Forum, basic firefighting equipment (Mulbarton Community Forum) and a two way radio (Glenvista Community Forum).

“This donation makes it possible for our volunteers to ensure they have the necessary equipment while on patrol, attending crime scenes, traffic and medical emergencies.

“Thanks to SOS ProtecSure, not only for this generous donation but more importantly for buying into the partnership between private security, community organisations and SAPS in reducing crime in our area,” said Mike Fontes (Mondeor Sector 1 Crime Forum).

ER24’s Rob Morley said the first aid kit will be replenished by them as needed.

The new vehicle will be backed by SOS ProtecSure and their 55 accredited patrollers who are signed up with Mondeor SAPS.

“This vehicle has been donated to the community to assist in combating crime. The vehicle will stay with the patrol captain and when not in use will be kept at the SOS parking lot,” added Fontes.
