Revamp of Rosettenville Central Primary School wall

Businesses, about 40 artists, teachers, learners, churches, NGO’s and government departments joined forces to uplift the Rosettenville Central Primary School wall on Main and Petunia streets.

SEVERAL businesses and municipal departments are taking interest in cleaning up the area and making a difference to their surroundings.

The entire team meets on a monthly basis and sets up a list of objectives and comes up with ideas on how they can uplift the area. Main Street was slowly deteriorating but with the help and enthusiasm from these groups there is slowly but surely an improvement taking place.

Businesses, about 40 artists, teachers, learners, churches, NGOs and government departments joined forces to uplift the Rosettenville Central Primary School wall on Main and Petunia streets. The weeds, overgrown vegetation and the illegally pasted stickers on the wall were removed and the wall painted.

Stakeholders involved: Environmental Health Department, Pest Control Department, SAPS – Moffatview and Booysens, JMPD, Pikitup and Johannesburg Roads Agency

Businesses, churches and NGO’s: Ipop – The Franchise Group, Spar – Kenilworth, McDonald’s – Turffontein, Senhor Calistos and Senhor Pizza – Rosettenville, The Tower Church and Alcohol and Drug Concerns

Shalin Bidassey-Manilal, environmental health practitioner said this was a phenomenal event and it would have not been possible without help from all the stakeholders involved and the main artists who spearheaded this initiative from Caps and Cans.
