Traffic learnership is a scam

The department distances itself from such false, misleading adverts and urges members of the public not to fall victim to such a scam.

THE Gauteng Department of Community Safety has learned through a tip-off that the Gauteng Traffic learnership posts are fraudulently advertised on an online jobs advertising site.

The department distances itself from such false, misleading advertisements and urges members of the public not to fall victim to the scam.

“The department is disgusted at reports that a company purporting to be working for the department is recruiting and interviewing candidates for the Gauteng Traffic Police learnership programme. We reject with contempt the criminal conduct of this company and further advice that the department never outsources its recruitment and selection. We are appealing to Gauteng citizens not to fall prey to this scam. As the department, we take this matter seriously and we affirm that we will go all out to root out this immoral deed,” said Gauteng MEC for Community Safety Sizakele Nkosi–Malobane.
