Joanie says farewell
“I’m sad to be leaving and I’m not retiring as such. I will definitely be keeping busy and enjoying my life to the fullest,” said Joanie.
JOANIE Dreyer, PA to the director of St Mary’s Children’s Home, Sonja Harmse, said farewell to the children and staff when she retired last week.
Joanie played a big part at the children’s home and was there for over seven years. She was loved by the staff and children alike and she would often receive little notes from the children in the home, saying thanks for being there for them.
“I’m sad to be leaving and I’m not retiring as such. I will definitely be keeping busy and enjoying my life to the fullest,” said Joanie.
“We will dearly miss her, not only as PA but also as a friend. My best wishes accompany her as she leaves to begin her retirement,” said Sonja.
Joanie and the staff enjoyed a farewell lunch at Turn ‘n Tender, Bassonia.
