PIKITUP, the waste management company of the City of Johannesburg, announced that household refuse collection and garden sites will operate as normal during the two upcoming public holidays on April 27 and May 2, respectively.
Residents whose refuse collection coincides with these public holidays are advised to put out their bins for collection as per their normal refuse schedule.
All 42 garden sites will be fully operational during these public holidays, from 08:00 to 17:00. Residents who may have recyclable waste during this period should use these sites to dispose of such waste. After these holidays, normal refuse collection rounds will continue in accordance with the normal collection schedule.
