UPDATE : Hayley has lost her fight

Pieter Meyer wrote the most heartbreaking status on Facebook.

HAYLEY Meyer, a baby born at 25 weeks, has died after fighting for her life the past two weeks in the Netcare Clinton Hospital in Alberton.

The baby was scheduled to be born on July 14, but when complications arose, doctors were forced to perform an emergency caesarean section, and she made her way into this world around 19:00 on April 4.

Hayley was born weighing around 600g and even lost a little weight, as there were further complications, namely not being able to get milk into her system, according to her 21-year-old father, Pieter Meyer.

Pieter wrote the following on Facebook :

“I am so sorry to inform all of you, but tonight on 18/04/2016 around 10:00 my little princess past (sic) away… her body was taking on a lot of pressure and God came to take her home… me as a first time daddy. I am broken.”

“She was only 550grams (sic) and 30cm and God gave her to us for two full weeks, and do you guys know what she did? – she brought almost 10 000 people to there (sic) knees.

“People including myself and my family will never understand His plan but one day when we open our arms for MIRACLE BABY HAYLEY and then we can ask God what His reasons was,” he said.
