Mondeor SAPS’ Easter weekend successes

One female, aged 25, was arrested on March 27 for possession of fake money.

ONE hundred and eighty three suspects were arrested by Mondeor SAPS for various offences over the Easter weekend. Two were arrested for murder, 10 for shoplifting, 73 for driving under the influence and 15 for possession of dagga. The rest of the suspects were arrested for committing crimes ranging from possession of suspected stolen property, fraud, rape, house robbery and theft.

One female, aged 25, was arrested on March 27 for possession of fake money. The suspect bought food in PH Network and tried to pay using fake R100 notes.

The suspect appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on March 28 and was released on bail. The case was remanded to May 4 for further investigations.
