Learn about soil health

Morné Brits will present a talk on ecological gardening and farming ideas.

THE drought, rising food prices and failing large scale commercial farms have created the need for affordable vegetable gardening and opened the door for small scale commercial farming.

Morné Brits will present a talk on ecological gardening and farming ideas, based on new research that provides affordable, minimal effort and environmentally friendly alternatives to our tried and tested (but inefficient) gardening and agricultural practices.

It boils down to soil health, soil ecology and making nature work for you. Everyone can do this; it only requires the application of a few basic principles, a bit of dynamic thinking to adapt it to individual situations and a willingness to change our mindsets.

The talk will be held at The Entrance Precinct, Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve in Peggy Vera Road, Kibler Park, on Thursday, March 10, at 18:30 for 19:00. Only 50 seats are available at R50 per person. For more information or to RSVP contact Morné on 074 245 6359 or email to info@kironia.co.za

The talk is hosted by the Sustainable Urban Living Team, part of the Klipriviersberg Sustainability Association.
