ROSETTENVILLE Central Primary School said its goodbyes to Mr Ivan Miller, after 40 years in education.

He was a learner at Rosettenville Central Primary School during the 70s and received many awards, including ‘Perfect Attendance for Seven Years’ and ‘Best Librarian in 1973’.

After completing a four year higher diploma in education at JCE, he completed a further two year diploma in remedial education at the Teacher’s Training College in Pretoria. He then went on to complete a BEd in Educational Leadership at the University of South Africa. Mr Miller was invited to join the Golden Key International Society for having completed the degree with distinctions.

He was appointed Head of Department Guidance from 1994 to 1996. From 1997 to 2006 he was appointed as Deputy Principal and from 2007 as Principal of Rosettenville Central Primary School.

Mr Miller is married to Mrs Linda Miller and has two children, Amy and Travis Miller, both studying to become high school educators.

The School Governing Body, educators, learners and parents would like to thank Mr Miller, and wish him success in any future ventures. After 26 years at the school, he has gone on early retirement. He will be missed and has left a legacy behind at the school.
