Beware of suspected fraudster

Once he has your money you will never see him or the goods paid for again.

RECORD has received several complaints about a man scamming residents out of thousands of Rands.

The man behind the alleged fraud case allegedly operates as far afield as Bloemfontein.

According to one irate victim, the alleged fraudster has had a warrant of arrest out on him since 2011. “The cops have not been able to catch him in so many years. He will just continue scamming people until he is brought to justice,” said the victim.

One of the alleged scams is the offer to buy a big screen television at a massively discounted price, but the man reportedly disappears with the money before delivering the promised TV. A similar modus operandi is used with laptops and inverters.

The case number of a case opened against him at the Germiston police station is 797/12/2015.

The suspect is around 1.75 metres tall, slender build, has short trimmed blond hair, and always wears shorts, short-sleeved shirts and flip-flops.

The RECORD is still awaiting comment from the Germiston police station.

We urge anyone with information regarding this matter, or have had this happen to them, to visit their local police station and open a case, to help apprehend this alleged fraudster.
