Turn ‘n Tender host lunch for St Mary’s
Children and staff from St Mary’s Children’s Home were treated to lunch at Turn ‘n Tender Bassonia in Comaro View Shopping Centre on Tuesday January 12, the day before school began for 2016.
BASSONIA – Dimitri Papadakis of Turn ‘n Tender Bassonia, handed over a substantial cheque to Sonja Harmse, director of St Mary’s, which was raised after a successful golf day late last year.
“This is fantastic and the money will be used to assist with essential costs and running of the home. This year we are expecting food costs as well as everything else to rise, so we are thrilled to receive this cheque,” said an ecstatic Sonja.
The lunch was enjoyed by all and each child also received a party pack. “Thank you so much Dimitri and staff. This was awesome and a great treat just before the children go back to school,” added Sonja.
