Roadblock hotspot prevents crime

Booysens SAPS wish not to reveal the name of the hotspot as they arrest a lot of criminals at the spot.

BOOYSENS SAPS continue to arrest suspects at a crime hotspot through roadblocks.

Officers found two AK47 firearms and ammunition in a BMW driven by a 35-year-old man who tried to offer the officers a R20 000 bribe to avoid going to prison. The officers who serve with pride and dignity made the entire Booysens SAPS proud as these kinds of weapons are often used by criminals to shoot at the police during crossfire.

The suspect was arrested on Tuesday, January 12, and will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate Court on the charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, and attempted bribery.

Booysens SAPS prefer not to disclose the location of the crime hotspot.
