Miss Soweto 2015 finalists announced

The finalists will go through an intense period of coaching, judging, rehearsals and public appearances before the final event at Soweto Theatre on December 5.

 The finalists in the Miss Soweto 2015 Pageant, brought to you by White Star, have been selected. They are:

  • Nokukhanya Kunene from Emndeni
  • Akani Maluleke from Chiawelo
  • Michelle Moumakoe from Senaone
  • Fedile Tau from Protea Glen
  • Linda Zwane  from Mofolo Village
  • Tshepiso Moffat from Molapo
  • Vuyolwethu Mazibuko from Rockville
  • Lerato Moroeng from Dobsonville
  • Buhle Xulu from Dube
  • Nomzamo Mpophoma from Pimville
  • Angelina Mabelani from Protea Glen
  • Malebo Manyebeane from Diepkloof
  • Nthabiseng Kgasi from Protea Glen
  • Teboho Sambo from Chiawelo
  • Naeema Isaacs from Eldorado Park
  • Phumeza Cetywa from Dobsonville
  • Ruth Shabangu from  Braamfisherville
  • Ruth Roberts from Orlando East
  • Sindisiswe Mthombeni from Protea Glen

The finalists will go through an intense period of coaching, judging, rehearsals and public appearances before the final event at Soweto Theatre on December 5.

Catch a view of the ladies on Saturday 21 November as they make appearances at the True Love/White Star Mall Demo at Southgate Mall, between 11:00 and 13:00, and the True Love/White Star Shisa Nyama at Panyaza, between 16:00 and 17:00. You could also spot them as they tour Soweto on November 27.

According to White Star’s Marketing Manager, Mokhele Makhothi, “Miss Soweto plays a very important role in offering a platform for girls and women from Soweto to be noticed. Contestants receive mentorship and guidance that helps them excel in life and stand out amongst the rest. White Star has been a proud sponsor of Miss Soweto for the past six years and, as South Africa’s favourite maize meal brand, is proud to play its part in lifting up aspiring young women of Soweto.”
