Marist learners excel in international performance examination

An examiner from London visited Marist Brothers Linmeyer and examined the candidates.

THIRTEEN Marist Brothers Linmeyer learners undertook the international performance certificate with Trinity College from London on September 25.

An examiner from London visited Marist Brothers Linmeyer and examined the candidates. The examiner was enormously impressed with the standard of work and loved the dynamic and honest work the candidates presented. For this examination, a continuous performance programme must be mounted by the candidate, where they may direct another candidate to assist them, but they are assessed on their performance work alone.

The presented items ranged across a wide variety of performance styles including monologues, diologues, musical theatre, physical theatre and poetry.

On October 9, it was confirmed that six candidates achieved a distinction for this prestigious examination, while seven were awarded merits. This examination is offered at an international level and places performers on a par with excellent performers overseas.

“Well done. You are each to be commended on achieving such outstanding results, we are proud of you,” said the school’s principal, Gary Norton.
