Tsogo Sun Moves For Life teachers awards

The teachers showed immense personal growth and the passion they have for chess as an excellent catalyst for change in the lives of learners in disadvantaged communities.

TSOGO Sun Moves For Life (TSMFL) held the 2015 TSMFL Soweto/Mayfair Teacher Awards in collaboration with Tsogo Sun Gold Reef City on Wednesday, October 21.

The teachers showed immense personal growth and the passion they have for chess as an excellent catalyst for change in the lives of learners in disadvantaged communities.

The foundation phase educators of the following TSMFL schools were in attendance: AB Xuma Primary, Mdelwa Hlongwane Primary, Paul Mosaka Primary, TC Esterhuysen Primary, Dumezweni Primary, Bree Street Primary, Ikaneng Combined, Ipolokeng Primary, Bophelo Impilo Primary and Thembu Primary.

At the awards TJ Malamule aka Mr Supercharge from TJ Talk International delivered an entertaining but powerful message about taking control of choices and decisions in both your personal and professional life.

Following this inspirational message, the Teacher’s Tournament commenced with great enthusiasm from the educators and many competitive streaks were revealed during the course of the events.

After announcing the winners of the Teachers Tournament the MC, Malusi Lekalakala, presented a MiniChess® level one Teacher Certificate to those teachers who completed their MiniChess® level one training.

Natasha Bezuidenhout from Tsogo Sun Gold Reef City was presented with a framed collage by TSMFL learners, as a token of thanks for its sponsorship of the TSMFL project in the Soweto and Mayfair areas.

TSMFL thanks Tsogo Sun Gold Reef City for their assistance in ensuring a memorable day for the educators.
