A Soweto teacher has been suspended and subsequently arrested after he allegedly masturbated and discharged his semen on an 18-year-old Grade 11 pupil’s gym dress, according to a Times Live report on Wednesday.
Precious Matthews (not her real name), spoke to The Star newspaper in the presence of her mother. She reportedly said she went to the teacher’s office on October 11 to find out about discrepancies with her marks.
“I went to his office to find out why some of my marks were missing. When I got in, he locked the burglar bars behind me… then he closed the door and started undressing…I told him he’s my teacher and he can’t do that.” she was quoted to have said.
According to the teenager, her ‘drunk’ teacher offered money in exchange for sex but she refused.
“Then he masturbated on top of me and ejaculated on my gym dress. At that point, I didn’t know what to do.”
The shocking report came just three days before the South African Council of Educators (Sace) tabled its report about teacher misconduct in parliament, which revealed that 94 cases of rape and sexual abuse against teachers have been reported in 2015.
