JUST IN: Five thugs hold up elderly woman

“I’ve never screamed so loud in my life” - Victim of attempted robbery

KIBLER PARK – An elderly woman was left shaken after five men held her up in her home, in Kibler Park, during a robbery on Monday morning, October 12.

The men reportedly jumped over the wall of the home while the resident was watering her garden.

The men then approached the women and threatened her with a garden fork.

“I was busy working in the garden and was approached by the guys. I screamed but the one put his hand on my mouth and another on my throat. He said, ‘stop screaming, keep quiet’. I struggled to get out of his grip. When they asked me how many people were in the big house, I told them there were four people in the house and some were sleeping,” said the resident who managed to escape unharmed.

“I’ve never screamed so loud in my life.”

SOS Protec Security, Mondeor SAPS officers arrived at the scene, together with Sector 3 CPF and a member of the Victim Support Unit, Chubb Security and CRD Security.

The family said they were relieved that no one was harmed during the incident. Two suspects were arrested at the scene.
