Support new bin cleaning service

The business visits your home after your bins have been emptied and clean the domestic wheelie bins once a week.

REGION 9 Development Centre has funded 50 unemployed community members to start their own refuse bin cleaning business.

The business visits your home after your bins have been emptied and clean the domestic wheelie bins once a week. They use recycled water and environmentally friendly cleaning products and deodorisers to thoroughly clean the bin, leaving it clean, dry and smelling fresh.

This venture is part of the Region 9 Development Centre’s entrepreneurship development programme. The programme is designed to address unemployment and poverty while empowering the beneficiaries to do it for themselves.

The success of this initiative depends on the support of the community. Region 9 has bought a refuse bin cleaning machine for the beneficiaries and continues to support them with the necessary skills to be able to compete with well-established commercial companies.

All community members who would like to book a service in support of the community project can contact Region 9 Development Centre, from Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:00, on 011 436 1134.
