BREAKING NEWS: Shootout down by the Spar, Kibler Park. Helicopters up and searching for two guys who got away. Three suspects allegedly robbed a house in Stanmore Crescent.

One suspect was shot and apprehended.

The police followed information of possible robbery. They waited for the suspects at Egoli Bricks, police prevented the crime. The Flying Squad, provincial, JPMD and Soweto Unit worked together to arrest three suspects, they drove a BMW which was hijacked in Voslorus.

The suspects were heavily armed. They shot one of the police van with R5 rifle. Egoli Bricks is on Swartkoppies Road and the suspects drove to Oak Lane as they were trying to flee.
