This school project is for Grade 10 learners and the aim is to teach them responsibility at a young age.

JSC representative Branden Molotsi said the teachers choose two learners, based on leadership qualities, to represent the school.

“We are taught about good citizenship and more about Johannesburg. The speaker of the mayor, Constance Bapela, works with us in many of the projects and we care mostly about the well-being of our communities,” explained Branden.Aside from charity projects, the JSC, led by Constance, promotes healthy lifestyles and they have encouraged healthy eating and physical exercise at the school.

“Through the spirit of Mandela we are continuing to do our bit to better this country,” said Branden.
