Women’s Day Operation Speeding

ON Sunday August 9, Women’s Day, Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) enforced Operation Speeding on the corners of Kliprivier Drive and Swartkoppies Road in Liefde en Vrede.

JMPD officers on the scene, enforcing the law were mainly women.

“This morning the first person caught speeding was a woman driver who was doing 141 km in an 80 km zone and a little later a man was caught speeding at 147 km in an 80 km zone. This morning has been very productive and many speeding drivers have been caught,” said inspector E Gumbi.

The operation took place from 08:00 to 14:00.
