DESIREE Okolo, a Mrs India SA finalist from Forest Hill, has teamed up with Youth for Human Rights SA to promote the Drug Free World campaign.

Drug Free World aims to explain the truth about drugs to communities across the world.

Desiree, her family and the Youth for Human Rights SA, fed the homeless in Ellis Park and distributed The Truth about Drugs information booklets to the community.

“On the evening of Mandela Day, I was given a great opportunity to be able to speak at the Nigerian embassy about Mrs India SA, women empowerment, Drug Free World and my plans for rehabilitation centers.

“My main focus is opening a free rehabilitation centre and through my networking, this plan is progressing well. Together with Drug Free World I will be selecting a school to educate and distribute more booklets to,” said Desiree.
