The South’s prodigy steps to the mic

The young musicians has plans to go big.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Bassonia resident, Nasrene Khan’s debut single ‘Can’t miss you’ hits all the right notes.

22-year old Nasrene, a former Glenvista High School learner, is a final year pharmacy student at WITS and only recently stepped into the recording studio with producer J-Lawless.

The young musician enjoys writing her own songs and taught herself how to play the acoustic guitar in December last year.

“I have an EP of five songs which I made with J-Lawless but I am also working on an album and it should be ready by the end of the year. My music is inspired by great artists such as The Script. They inspired my to write my first song ‘Only You’”.

Nasrene’s music is not overtly lyrical and allows the listener to interpret her alternative sound.

J-Lawless introduced her music to Muthaland Entertainment, who was impressed by her talent and she will soon start performing publicly.
