IN honour of Lerato Educational Centre at Jackson Drift informal settlement in Eikenhof, Miss Earth SA regional finalist, Jessica Janse van Rensburg, and Thaba Eco Hotel present SOJO Christmas in July.
The purpose of this event is to support a less fortunate school or orphanage in the South. The learning centre caters to about 470 children aged between three and nine years old, who all come from extreme poverty stricken homes.
These children live in an environment of high unemployment, inadequate housing and appalling learning conditions.
“We would like to request that each guest bring one or more of the following items to place under the Christmas tree on the night of the event: stationery, educational toys and reading books,” said SOJO CEO, Nicky Vakaloudis.
These items will be handed over to the Lerato Education Centre.
The event will take place on July 31 at Thaba Eco Hotel, Kraal Kombuis, at 18:30 for 19:00, at a cost of R300. Attendees will be treated to a three course Christmas buffet dinner and live entertainment.
