Have a swim in the South’s very own heated pool
Care takers want residents to take advantage of this morden and well maintained swimming pool.
PIONEER Park Swimming Pool, located in La Rochelle, at the corner of Rosettenville Road and 11th Street, has heated water and can be used by the community, even on cold winter days.
This heated swimming pool is located in a safe and convenient community environment where adults and children can come together and have a great day, without even going for a drive outside of their residential area. Safety is enforced on the premises, with an expert rescue team working hand in hand with the operations manager of JHB South Pools, Regionald Mohamed, to ensure the safety of swimmers.
Although alcohol is not allowed on the premises for safety reasons, and because there are usually children around, community members, organisations or companies are still welcome to come with their braai stands and spend the day.
The swimming pool is modern and one of a few heated swimming pools in the South. Regionald said: “The heating system is very good, it was actually imported from Italy. Adults pay only R12 and children R9 to swim, between 10:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, and between 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. There are also programmes where adults and children are given swimming lessons.”
