Touch of Care to help seniors

The community of the south is invited to help social auxiliary workers and community caregivers from Touch of Care.

MEMBERS of Turffontein’s Touch of Care will spend their 67 minutes for Mandela Day (on Friday, July 17), at Pioneer Old Age Home, from 09:00 to 12:00.

The community of the south is invited to help social auxiliary workers and community caregivers from Touch of Care.

Julson Mkandla, director of Touch of Care, urges the community to bring along spades, brooms, hay-racks and refuse bags on the day.

The purpose of the event is to encourage people to give back a little of their time to the community. Each and every individual has the ability and responsibility to change the world for the better by sacrificing few minutes of their time and to contribute their actions to community work.

To run this event successfully, Touch of Care needs transport, pots, catering equipment, cups, plates and posters.

Julson can be contacted at Julson2008@yahoo.com, or on 072 700 6221.
